Bubble test echo is: specifically designed for detecting PFO, the reason they are done. Can a PFO allow clots from body veins to go to brain resulting in TIA/Stroke? Yes, especially if right atrial pressure is higher than left atrial pressure (opposite usual of 5 mmHg RA & 8 mmHg LA in healthier adults). However, atrial pressure also quickly changes. Chest pain, pulse issues likely=different matter, largely unrelated.
