while breathing pain on upper right chest?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Gerald Mandell
51 years experience Nuclear Medicine
Several answers: Pain associated with breathing can be related to trauma involving ribs or muscles in area. Infection or inflammation in lung or lining around lung can affect breathing. Some individuals can have air leak or pneumothorax secondary to rupture of air cell. If pain continues should see doctor for examination, evaluation and possibly x-ray.
