Is it the cause?: It is hard to be sure that the cyst is what is causing the pain. However, it may well be the cause. If so, you do not need to remove it. Just a needle aspiration by an Xray specialist with ultrasound guidance can solve the problem. This cyst should not affect the transplant due to location but discuss these thoughts with your nephrologist and he/she will help you further.
