septoplasty, turbinate reduction, adenoid removal 3wk ago. bumped yesterday, slight bleed & now nose is congested. surgeon away. could i have damage?

Bumped Nose: Probably no harm. Usually good idea to take an antihistamine tablet. Be sure to see doctor immediately on his return to rule out hematoma of septum. If your surgeon is away two weeks than should see an ENT doctor within 5 days to rule out possible hematoma of septum, as this must be drained. Do not see emergency room as they are not familiar with septal hematoma. Again, this is rare but important

Best to leave it: You will not likely alter the septum, but could provoke bleeding and irritation. Best to just gently blow your nose as needed.
