I had fasting glucose meter readings of 100-112 mg/dl on 8 occasions and 1 ocassion of 127 mg/dl. do i need to be put on oral meds for pre-diabetes?

Pre- diabetes: Looks that your concern about diabetes is not needed. That said, please check your blood sugar before breakfast on alternate days, and at bedtime on the other days.
If any of those bedtime glucose levels are above 150 you must see your doctor.
Hopefully that should not be an issue.
