is it normal to have tachycardia while standing and bradycardia once i lie down?

Orthostatic: Doctors & nurses check vital signs (blood pressure & heart rate) in lying, sitting, & standing (orthostatic) positions to assess if whether a patient's blood volume is decreased, eg. from dehydration or from bleeding. Other factors can also influence the orthostatic response, including normal and abnormal ("POTS") reflexes. For help with your own situation, get a cardiology consult on HealthTap.
