Possible: Yes possible , it is one of the way to have fracture ribs besides trauma, please see your doctor for examination and x rays, if no air leak will heal in couple of wks.

Could be: Cracking a rib is not as difficult as you may think. Need to see a doc for x-rays and tell your bro to take it easy on you. Love hurts, i guess.....
