i'd like to taper off of lexapro (7 wks) to see if new buspar (buspirone) rx works. lex doesn't seem to work on my anxiety. dr appt in 2 mo, don't want to wait. ?

Lexapro (escitalopram) Tapering: I understand your need to have Relief from Anxiety. Please see Psychiatrist or his Associate soon for your desire to taper off Lexapro with monitoring of Withdrawal symptoms. Using Buspar (buspirone) with Lexapro can increase the risk of serious Serotonin Syndrome. It can be up to 2 weeks before Buspar (buspirone) will work.
