Ankle swelling: If this has been going on for 20+ years, there may not be much to do about it. It could be that you have "leaky" veins that allow the fluid to collect in the ankles. You could see a vein specialist to see if there is anything to do. If the swelling causes discomfort, try wearing compression stockings, and elevate your feet whenever possible.
