Gastric distension: The stomach distension and discomfort may be simple indigestion with gas accumulation in which case drinking some hot(not too hot) water and applying heat to the abdomen will help break down the gas and move it along. Other possibilities include acute gastritis, gall bladder attack or pancreatitis. If symptoms persist or worsen, if vomiting or significant abdominal tenderness develop, go to er.
