For ibs, how much/long should you take meds before going to er? i have been alternating donnatal & librax (clinidium and chlordiazepoxide) & motrin & percocet for abdominal pain.

If your pain is bad: enough to require percocet, I would see gastroenterologist ASAP. I don't believe percocet is a good drug for IBS, and as you know it is habit forming, and so is librax (clinidium and chlordiazepoxide).
