Whoa: A potassium level well below the reference range is reason for a full medical workup, if you value your life. It's an aldosteronoma until proved otherwise. This is probably not due to "not eating". Get with a competent physician if the situation is as you've represented.

Danger: Potassium is a chemical element that is needed for many metabolic processes like cellular function in the human body. People with CKD are at risk for developing higher levels of potassium because the damaged kidney can not excrete as much potassium as a normal kidney. High levels of potassium can cause cardiac problems and potential death. Therefore CKD patients should have low potassium diets.

Needs evaluation: See a doctor, could be viral or may need antibiotics for a bacterial infection. If bacterial, it will be a number of days on antibiotics but be certain to take anything prescribed until all the pills are finished; if viral could be a number of weeks.

Itchy eyes= allergy: Sneezing, headache, congestion and sore throat sound like a cold or sinus infection or allergy. The itchy eyes, though, especially if they are worse in certain places or situations, can help distinguish allergy symptoms ( but not always). For allergies, otc antihistamines like zyrtec, Allegra are helpful; for colds they should be avoided. If not sure, sudafed and tylenol (acetaminophen) and sinus rinses are best.

Pregnancy symptoms.: You may be pregnant but not far enough along to get a positive test. Keep repeating the home pregnancy test. If your tests continue to be negative and the symptoms continue then you should see your doctor.
