how long after heavy alcohol drinking can they get liver disease and what are warning signs?

Dr. Robert Uyeda
44 years experience General Surgery
Depends on: How much alcohol per year and what other damage the liver has sustained. First sign is abnormal liver function tests in blood. By the time you get symptoms, liver damage would be advance. If you suspect you have liver damage, get a blood test at your doctor's office.
