WNL: Its within normal limits. Not all wisdom tooth surgeries are the same, and yours may be taking a bit longer to heal.

Can be: Depending on the complexity of removal and degree of impaction, it is not abnormal. If you have concerns, see the dentist who removed the teeth for a follow up visit.

Not Uncommon: It is not uncommon for patients to still have evidence of bruising for that time frame after wisdom teeth surgery. The amount of bruising can be related to the position of the teeth, surgical technique and experience of the operator, any medications or supplements taken that can affect the clotting cascade, as well as your complexion.

Normal: Ever have a black-and-blue mark that lasted a week or longer? You had surgery. Takes time to heal. Should be a little better every day. If concerned schedule a post-surgical reevaluation with your Surgeon.
