with mono, i know that the tonsil are going to be enlarged with white patches. is it normal for the tonsils to have blood blisters on them?

Yes,: If IM is lab. confirmed then it might be part of the clinical features though not frequently seen with IM. Petechiae is seen more frequently with a common bacterial infection of the throat that requires treatment. A screen for this infection is advised. Take care.
