A 40-year-old female asked:
Does high white cell count 15.4 and headaches on and off for 6 weeks always indicate leukemia? or could there still be other causes?

Absolutely not: You can raise your white count to 20,000 by spending a half hour swimming in cold water. If the cells are normally formed, and the rest of your blood count is reasonable, look around for some other cause; you may not find one. Look for a cause of headaches as well -- it may be as simple as needing new eyeglasses. Good luck.
