is endometriosis on the pouch of douglas hard to treat?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Roger Sherman

Depends: Depends on how much endometriosis and how much scar tissue. It can be surgically respected. Also, you can use a GnRH agonist (such as leuprolide acetate) to temporarily shrink it away. Ultimately, you will likely need a hysterectomy when you complete childbearing.
