A 18-year-old member asked:
I am never hungry but I always want to eat is that weird or normal?

Dr. Donald Hazlett answered

Most likely neither.: When one is not "hungry" but always "want(s)" to eat that sounds like some type of eating disorder. It seems you are worried about how you are dealing with wanting to eat all the time but never being hungry. It isn't weird but it isn't normal either. Talk to your doctor or a counselor to help you answer that question.

Underlying issues: Over consumption of food when not hungry may be a display of an underlying issue, emotionally or personally. You may need to seek out counseling or a psychiatrist for advice. I hope that helps.
