Need more informatio: Hgb Ranier causes an increase in rbc count due to decreased release of O2, so need to know symptoms, Hct and O2 saturation. At the very least, avoid smoke exposure, high altitudes, and dehydration. Consider aspirin to decrease clotting and phlebotomy to remove rbc's. If O2 sat is consistently low, may need to consider O2. My son is away from home, and doesn't want to wear diapers or get anyone to help him change them. What should we do?

Tantrums !: If he is under 2 years of age and dictating to you it is a like temper tantrums. I would just hold him down , put the diapers on and then put his regular clothes on and ignore his tantrums.

What can cause a high hemoglobin A1c test?

Poor sugar control: Hemoglobin A1c measures average blood sugar over approximately the past 3 months. It is the measure of how much hemoglobin is attached to sugar molecules in the blood. Sugar in your blood binds to the hemoglobin of the red blood cell and stays there throughout the cell's lifetime (120 days). At high levels of blood sugar, more reacts w/ the hemoglobin, causing an elevated hemoglobin a1c.
