Picture would help: More likely to stick out and be different in size is a lymph node. A lymph node does not have to hurt to stick out. A picture of what you are seeing would be helpful. As your finding is unclear you should follow up with a doctor. Lymph nodes enlarged and not present before are indicative of allergy, infection, or other going on in the head or neck area
