Fear conditioning: Experiencing extreme fear in response to a situation can be seen in a number of anxiety disorders. Specific phobia is a persistent irrational fear caused by the thought or exposure to a specific object or situation. PTSD consists of a constellation of symptoms in response to a traumatic event. You say you believe you were "possessed." Recommend exploring further with mental health professional.
