Bad taste in mouth: The bad taste my be from your sinuses and should go away when your cold is gone. Have you seen a dentist and had your teeth cleaned recently? Gum disease can also cause bad breath. So make sure you keep brushing and flossing during your cold.

Post-nasal drip: A common cause of bad taste is post nasal drip, which involves mucus secretions from your nose and throat. Successful treatment of the post-nasal drip will usually clear up the bad taste and other symptoms. See GP for evaluation.
