I keep getting sharp pain in my back, around the kidney area comes and goes. have had stones before, do stones usually cause pain from time to time?

Back pain/stones: It is possible. Drink fluids to flush ( water apple juice /grape juice/ too much Vit C could precipitate certain stones) , Consider follow up with doc as an ultrasound could tell if there is a stone,size location and if there swelling of the tube from the kidney to the bladder due to obstructinoofrom the stone
