what shows up on a brain mri? will it reveal the root cause of headaches?

Sometimes, yes: MRI brain is done in HA mostly to rule out serious problems like tumor, inflammation, infections, abscess causing HA, which is non-responsive to meds, worsening day by day and increase in severity. If you just have plain daily HA, which has been contrast then chances of MRI will show anything is pretty low. I would recommend virtual consult or concierge with me to discuss further.
