Yes: Especially is you get nausea, vomiting or fever. Appendicitis begins with a dull pain near the belly button that then becomes sharp as it moves to the lower right abdomen. This is followed by n/v, loss of appetite, abdominal swelling, fever of 99-102 degrees F and inability to pass gas. Could also be a ruptured cyst but none of the above symptoms.
