I may have sprained my knee, on friday and my knee still hurt i have had no swelling or bruising. should i go to the doctor, pain on sides and front.

Yes get it checked: It is advisable to get it checked .will need examination and X-rays. Meanwhile put ice pack few times a day and you may take motrin or aleve (naproxen) if you are not allergic and don't have stomach ulcer.for pain. Only if pain persists you may need an MRI as then you have to rule out injury to ligaments or cartilage
