How much secondhand smoke causes cancer? i have been exposed for three weeks as everyone at my university smokes. will i get it/ at higher risk now?

Avoid it in future: It takes years of smoking or second hand smoke to cause lung Cancer. So you do not need to worry right now but ask your friends not to smoke when you are around them or go out and smoke in the designated smoking areas.

No way to answer: Unfortunately there is no way to know what specific amount of secondhand smoke causes cancer. Of course anytime you can avoid prolonged exposure to cigarette smoke the better. Most bars/social gathering site here in the U.S. are now smoke-free. Likely there is nothing to worry about, just make sure you don't pick up the habit yourself!
