Over the counter: Anti fungal creams such as clotrimazole are available over the counter. Apply 3 times daily until rash resolves and then continue for another 4 days. It can be contagious so keep covered if it is an exposed area. Be patient- it can take a few weeks to go away.

If in scalp: You will need oral medicine so you must see your friendly physician for a prescription. Otherwise the cream should work. Ketoconazole is another cream readily available over the counter. Happy healing.
