i am 158cm tall, weigh 43 kilos and would desperately like to weigh 40 kgs, is a 1000 calories a day too much too lose this in 4 weeks. ?

A diet: that low in calories puts you at risk for a host of issues. As a female, you should take in at least 1200-1400 calories per day, and shoot for weight loss of 2 lbs (1Kg) per week. This calorie intake should get you to your goal, provided adequate physical activity. Hope this helps!
