2 cycles: For women who are on birth control pills and want to try to get pregnant i recommend stopping the pill at the end of a pill pack, and then use condoms, and after having 2 periods stop using the condoms. The 2 periods allow the lining of the uterus to become normal. The lining gets thinner while on bcp.

Oral contraceptives: Oral contraceptive like sprintec are very low dose and if you miss a dose you could ovulate the next day. However, once you stop taking your birth control it may take 1 to 3 months before your periods return to normal and therefor your opportunity for a successful pregnancy will be better.

Ocp effectiveness./ : Miss 3 pills and you ovulate. Why do you want to be pregnant at 17? Teen moms are faced with lives of poverty; their children are likely to do poorly in school, be in street gangs and become teen parents. Before i was a physician, was a high school teacher in inner city chicago. Don't do it. Grow up first. The supreme court just approved Plan B for teen use to prevent pregnanc.
