ENT and Head and Neck Surgery 30 years experience
Otitis media: After a middle ear infection, fluid in the middle ear takes a while to drain through the eustachian tube. It could take several weeks to clear. However, the symptoms of pulsatile tinnitus and hearing loss could indicate an inner ear or central neurologic/vascular problem, which requires that you see and ENT doctor for full exam and testing. There could be other problems that need to be evaluated.
