can zinc supplement tablets be taken once a day regularly? or is it dangerous to take it for a long periods of time? i am zinc deficient.

Yes, take daily: if you are zinc deficient. There is no danger associated with taking zinc supplements on a daily basis nor known long term consequences. The body needs zinc for normal growth and health. Zinc deficiency is associated with poor night vision and wound-healing, a decrease in sense of taste and smell, and reduced ability to fight infections. Additionally, eat foods rich in zinc.
