Your question?: I'm not sure exactly what your question is. Benzodiazepines like Ativan (lorazepam) have a very similar effect on our bodies as alcohol,both acting on the GABA receptor. Alcohol and Ativan (lorazepam) have an additive effect. A single beer without Ativan (lorazepam) may not have had much effect but the combination apparently helped. One should be cautious combining Ativan (lorazepam) and alcohol but if you were still anxious I'm glad it helped.
