ok so i put this ointment on my infected fingertip and i see my cuticles are coming back. does this mean that it's healing?

Maybe...: Cuticle that looks healthy and is growing is a good sign of finger and nail health. But if you had an infection in your fingertip the more important signs of healing are: no redness, no pus, no heat, no swelling, no pain. And, of course, no fever. If all those things are "no's", then it is unlikely you finger is infected. Stay well:)
