i have a red bumpy circular shaped rash on the front of my neck. the outer part of the rash is more inflammed and looks a bit like a ring. it is about 2-3 inches across in diameter.

Ask your question: again and attach a PHOTO....it sounds a bit like RINGWORM which is a fungal skin infection easily treated with an antifungal cream! The picture is necessary! Hope this helps! Dr Z

Arthritis : Arthritis would be my first choice. It is inflammation but not always pain. But you can have swelling, and redness without pain. Caution just because it is redness and swelling doesn't mean it is arthritis. This could be seen in allergic reaction, soft tissue inflammation or cellulitis to name a few.

Irritation: Well endowed women or women joggers can get a frictional dermatitis from movement of the breasts. Bra material or personal creams applied on the breast can cause an allergic reaction. If it is a persistent problem, it needs evaluation by your dermatologist.

May be hard to do...: People try to live and work in conditions that their bodies are able to adapt to, but sometimes that is not possible. A primary care doctor and a dermatologist can help prevent and treat recurrent heat rash (miliaria treatment). Keeping the skin surface intact, healthy, and normal is important. That means not rubbing the skin with rough clothes, or getting industrial chemicals on them.
