No: Humans cannot create herpes (nor create any other life form). It will be a really scary day when man figures out how to create life forms like bacteria or viruses! herpes only comes from somebody else's herpes, but it does not have to be a sexual type of contact. For example, lip "cold sores" are herpes, and most people got them through non-sexual contact.
