Time: Good morning! It can take up to year for your cycles to regulate again after depo. If the symptoms bother you, you could always try other forms of birth control-your doc can help you decide what's best for you! :)

A 18-year-old female asked:
Brown blood two weeks before my period. Whats wrong?

Probably nothing: Midcycle bleeding is not rare. Brown just means old blood that has been sitting in the back of the vagina for a long time. If this is not normal for you then it should correct itself over the next few days. Consider taking birth control for cycle regulation and contraception.

A 20-year-old female asked:
My period is two months late . Its dark brown blood plus clots . What does that mean ?

Dr. Jeff Livingston answered

Prob your period : The brown discharge was likely your period just a very different one. Brown equals old blood. It is common to have an "off' cycle every now and then. If your pregnancy test is negative then you are not pregnant. Schedule a visit for birth control if you do not want to be pregnant.

Still have a little brown blood after my period does it count as my period?

It's probably: Just the tail end of blood that was remaining. The fact that it is brown means it is older ; deoxygenated.
