i have an itchy red rash covering most of my torso and neck. my gp gave me antihistamines, how soon should i see a reduction in the rash?

Depends: if it is an allergic reaction, you took the right dose, it would fade in few hours, but might recur, if it something else other than allergy, it needs to be treated accordingly

U could try Zyrtec, (cetirizine): or Allegra.I wouldn't use Claritin.If it's at night and u want to sleep,use Benadryl (diphenhydramine).
