@ 19 U should have--: -Cn a fellowship trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, been examined & had X rays as well as an MRI of Ur shoulder. Most kids need surgical attention when they dislocate a shoulder. Only after such a workup can 1 decide only a sling is needed. A dislocation alters the anatomy such that it becomes a recurring dislocation & each time more damage is done to Ur Joint & loose bone stock=bad!
