Self care!: For physicians as well as we psychologists/psychoanalysts, self-care is of paramount importance. This means emotional regulation, and not putting in superhuman amounts of hours. Unfortunately, in the current era of mangled...er, um, MANAGED healthcare where productivity and "treat 'em and street 'em" is emphasized, physician self care is often compromised, and information overload/burnout results.
