Many types : Their are many types of effective blood pressure medication. .Treatment should be tailored to the individual patient based on medical conditions. If the patient has heart disease beta blockers are considered best medicine. If the patient has diabetes or kidney failure then angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors are best. Many times combinations will be needed.
