I have very itchy eye around corner and watery sometime .. doc prescribe pataday but it's too expensive .. what is my alternative ?

Ketotifen zyrtec (cetirizine) : The prescription eye drop Zaditor (ketotifen) has become available OTC and it works pretty well for a lot of people . It is also available as zyrtec drops or Alaway drops . All three are the same compound . If OTC drops do not help, you could ask your doctor to prescribe the generic eye drop azelastine , brand name "optivar". Using nasal sprays Nasacort or Flonase may help the eye itching sometimes as well .
