What kind of things are a doctor looking for in a skin biopsy of the hand?

Vague question: Was there a lesion on the hand? Do you have any symptoms? It may be a local lesion that needed to be examined. Hand is not a usual site for biopsy to look for a systemic disorder. It would be more useful to ask your doctor.
