I am a women and have high dhea levels. can that be causing me to have excess acne all over and excess hair?

Possibly: The two major hormones that cause excess hair growth or acne in women is testosterone or DHEA sulfate. DHEA is a less reliable test because levels vary widely. If these levels are consistently high, one should look for a cause. A common cause is polycystic ovarian syndrome. This would be investigated by your gynecologist or an endocrinologist.
