One possibility is: rubbing vitamin E oil directly on the scar for several months and see what happens. Another way is to visit a plastic surgeon to see if he/she thinks you a good candidate for scar removal. Darker skin has a tendency to over-heal, i.e., for tissue called a "keloid" which needs to be avoided. Above all, like yourself as you are and try not to judge by externals. Vit. E comes a a bottle.
