Mgt: FeNO reflects activation of a type of cell associated with allergic lung disease. It can be falsely elevated in some situations. If you have no symptoms, discussing why you had this test with your PCP is advised. If your doctor suspects that you have asthma, I would suggest having a lung function test performed.
