What can i do to prevent a muscle cramp during exercise or what am i doing wrong?

Stretch and hydrtate: There are many causes of muscle cramps. With this happening during exercise, the two most likely reasons could be tight muscles and/or electrolyte imbalance. I would suggest stretching before and after your workout. Also, make sure you hydrate well. Drink at least 16 oz of water before your workout and keep hydrated during your workout as well.

Training: Training and gradually building up the level of exercise is the key. Adequate hydration, stretching before the exercise and warm up will protect against muscle cramp.
