A 22-year-old female asked:
My ankles hurt all the time and I'm always accidentally twisting my ankles, do you have any tips to stop my ankles being so weak?

Dr. Bradly Shollenberger answered
35 years experience in Podiatry
Support: "Weak ankles" can be due to lax ligaments or simply poor biomechanics of the feet. Talk to a podiatrist. They can check you for ligament issues, evaluate the mechanics of your feet, recommend proper shoes and maybe even make custom inserts for you. They may also recommend strengthening exercises for the lower leg muscles.
