Yes: Yes, this is a known treatment for that problem. Works well.
Dr. Theodore Davantzis
Dentistry 40 years experience
Sure, it's possible: I also hope your dentist is honest with you and explains that the composite will stain, can break off, and that your teeth will look wider.
Dr. Arnold Malerman
Orthodontics 53 years experience
More important: Why are your gums receding? No matter what type of restoration is placed, black triangle will reappear as gums continue to recede. Please ask your Dentist to refer you to a gum specialist, a Periodontist, before you invest big bucks in trying to treat gum disease by doing fillings.

The gums above my two front teeth are swollen and I need them to go back to normal within 72 hours what do I do?

Brush, rinse, floss: Brush and keep them clean, floss them gently and try rinsing with warm salt water in that area specifically. Rinse for a minute or so or as long as you can. This should help it go away. If the swelling is not going away you need to see your dentist to have it checked out. Good luck.

It depends: On the cause. Most of the time, this is due to plaque and calculus and is treated by a professional cleaning and good oral hygiene. However, some serious systemic diseases can cause swollen gums, so it is best to visit a dentist for an evaluation.

Be seen again: If you are still having problems and your symptoms are not getting better, a second exam by your doctor would help in deciding whether you need additional treatment. Depending of the severity of your symptoms, your doctor will likely decide on placing you on a short course of steroids to help in reducing the swelling of your tonsils. Also, another exam will help in ruling out tonsillar abscess.
