Every month around my period beginning I have insomnia. I will go to sleep just fine but by 1 or 2 am I am awake. What can I do?

Insomnia: I understand your discomfort. Falling of Hormone-Progesterone around the period can cause sleep problem. Drinking Alcohol at night can cause awakening at 1-2 am. Unresolved emotional conflicts with the husband , children, and other family members may cause anxiety and depression and affect the sleep. Sleep cycle goes through NREM and REM- 5 times during night. Best sleep is first 90 minutes.
